50^th Anniversary Gold Orchid Competition

As this year is the Golden Anniversary of the formation of the South Australian Orchidaceous Society,, the committee has decided to have a competition to select the best gold orchid from those shown at our three shows in 2015.

At each of our three shows this year (2015) the judging teams will select the best gold coloured orchid in each division.  During the championship judging the panel will then select the best over all gold orchid in the show.  This orchid will then be pointed up with the colour being the all important factor regardless of genus, shape and size.

After the spring show the orchid with the highest points will be the winner. The prize will be presented to the grower of the winning orchid at the anniversary meeting in October.

We look forward to seeing many gold orchids in our shows this year.
