Objects of the Society


To promote propagation, scientific and cultural knowledge of all Orchids.

To extend the Membership of the Society by creating a public interest in the Society’s activities and proceedings.

To engage in competition in accordance with established standards laid down by leading Worldwide Orchid Societies.


The Society is affiliated with the South Australian Regional Orchid Council Inc. which represents the majority of regional orchid clubs and societies. We are also affiliated with the Australian Orchid Council and the American Orchid Society.


The SA Orchidaceous Society Inc meets on the third Wednesday of each month at the Plympton Community Centre 34 Long Street Plympton.

Doors open 7.30pm
